- The Shuli Bhanjan region near Sambhajinagar is a deeply revered spiritual स्थल associated with worship of Ishwara & Dattatreya, Tapas and Dhyana. Surrounded by serene hills, it has long been a sadhana-bhoomi where saints and seekers have undertaken intense spiritual practices.
- At the temple, a sacred stone platform—locally referred to as Dhyanada Kalpa—is believed to have been the seat of deep meditation for saints across generations; local traditions also hold that Adi Shankaracharya himself performed intense tapas seated upon this very stone, further sanctifying it as a powerful centre of spiritual energy.
- Nearby, another unique stone produces a resonant nāda (sound vibration) when gently tapped, symbolizing the subtle presence of Nāda Brahman.
- The kshetra also houses a Surya Kunda, believed to be of great antiquity and recently renovated, along with an ancient Shiva Linga revered as Kaivalyeshwara, traditionally associated with timeless worship and the pursuit of kaivalya(liberation), with some local beliefs tracing its sanctity back to ancient yugas.
