- Perched gracefully atop a hill overlooking the serene lakes of Udaipur, the Neemach Mata Temple is a sacred abode of Devi, revered as the guardian mother of the region. The temple, approached through a steady ascent, offers panoramic views alongside a deep sense of inward quietude, where devotees experience the protective and compassionate presence of Neemach Mata. Rooted in local tradition, this kṣetra has long been a center of living devotion, where seekers turn to the Devi for strength, well-being, and inner clarity.
- While there is no traditional association of Adi Shankaracharya with the worship of the Devi at this shrine, local tradition affirms that the Ganapati present in the temple परिसर was worshipped by the Acharya.
- This sacred remembrance reflects the integral place of Vighneśvara in all spiritual undertakings—where, even amidst diverse forms of upāsanā, the remover of obstacles is invoked to guide the seeker toward clarity, auspiciousness, and inner awakening.
