ಆದಿ ಶಂಕರರ ನಿರಂತರ ನಾಗರಿಕ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಲು ಶಾಂಕರ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ ಉಪಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ.
ಆದಿ ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಭೇಟಿ
At a higher elevation outside the Navgand Temple Complex lies another महत्वपूर्ण स्थल, identified as the remains of an earlier temple structure. This area preserves subtle but significant traces of antiquity:
- A Gaṇapati idol, to which Ādi Śaṅkarācārya is believed to have offered worship
- A Śiva–Pārvatī stone form, suggestive of integrated Śaiva–Śākta worship
- Visible remnants of a Garbhagṛha (sanctum)
- A Śiva liṅga, also associated in local and śāstric tradition with Ādi Śaṅkarācārya’s worship
These elements together indicate that the site may once have functioned as a multi-deity sacred complex, later re-organized into its present configuration.
